Fighting overwhelming odds, 189 volunteers made their 13 day fatal stand against 4000 Mexican troops - dying for liberty and Texas' Independence.
Getting around San Antonio is a breeze. The San Antonio International Airport is located approximately eight miles from downtown. Walking is the best way to get around downtown; there is also an easy-to-use trolley system, river cruisers, and river taxis.
